Skunkadelia
- I make websites.
- I can help you get the job done.
- I can help you look good online.
I am a metalworker who specializes in robot figurines made from re-purposed steel since 2006: I have sold over four hundred of them. In order to be a successful artist you need to be able to professionally present yourself on every level.
I have created my own child theme for WordPress and WooCommerce. I do all my own graphics, photography, and copy. I can do it for you.
Skunkadelia's Website
For my artist website I chose WordPress as the base, adding a custom child theme with custom functions, as well as a design overhaul. I use WooCommerce for the product pages.

The home page pulls a lot of information together - latest works, contact form, and most recent stories, works by category - it changes regularly to give variety to repeat visitors.

Work is classified by category, and can have multiple tags. I decided a long time ago to keep all my product images square for tidy layout, but today thanks to flexbox, there are responsive design alternatives.

Product pages have detailed galleries, dimensions and weight, parts-lists, and thorough documentation. I see my website as an art-project in itself, a complete reference portfolio and a monument to my artistic endeavors.
Print Brochure with Order Form

When I ran my microgallery out of my studio space at the Artisans Asylum in Somerville, MA - I had a stack of these catalogs on hand for gallery visitors to take home. It was a nice way to get visitors to think about the possibilities on their own time, and led to many sales custom commissions.

Print Calendar 2006 to present
The first print calendar I released was in 1998 - and I've been making yearly since. This is a highly functional, handmade calendar with astronomical events such as meteor showers, moon phases, and comets, as well as all major holidays.

A smart and functionally designed print calendar has excellent promotional value - it stays up and visible for an entire year. I give them to my clients, and sell them on my online store.

Functional details have been added based on user feedback over the years.

Eight Business Cards in One

I've always designed printed, and cut my own cards: the first ones I made were rubber stamped on paperboard I recycled from small boxes. I print very small runs and make constant updates.

Making your own means making all the rules. I have to make a lot of cuts per card to get full bleed images on the back of each card, but it's worth it the extra effort to have eight opportunities to show your best work.
I do it all.
